Safe Return to Soccer

Stockton TLJ FC misses our extended TLJ Family and is excited to get back on the pitch. However, with the spike in numbers regarding the Covid Pandemic this transition back to soccer must be done as safe as possible. Please see the following plan for a safe and gradual return to training and play. This protocol applies to players, coaches, parents, and spectators.

If you are sick - STAY HOME!!!

If you have a fever - STAY HOME!!!    

At Risk Youth / Adult - STAY HOME!!!

PHASE 1

Social Distance Protocols - Effective Immediately!

  • Players are to be dropped-off near entrance 15 minutes prior to their session up to session start time. Depending on number of safety officers on hand, late players may not be allowed admittance.
  • Players parent/adult completes verbal survey regarding health of family and player with team Safety Officer before exiting vehicle.
  • Parents and spectators are not allowed in building and are expected to remain in vehicle while on the premises.
  • Parking lot should not be used to fraternize with other families. Please leave premises and return before end of players session.
  • Player will undergo a health survey and a sanitizing of equipment upon entering the building.
  • Players must bring their own water, hand sanitizer, and mask.
  • Masks always worn except in the arena (playing area).
  • Players will be given a spot to store their belongings.
  • Players are to go straight to their awaiting vehicle immediately following session.

Learning Protocols for Session

  • No Contact - Players are expected to remain a minimum of 6 feet away from all others.

  • Passing and receiving Foot Tennis
  • Shooting
  • Passing Patterns

*This list of protocols represents Phase 1 of Safe Return to Soccer at Stockton TLJ Indoor for Stockton TLJ FC members only! All members are required to submit 2020/21 TLJ FC Membership materials by second week of training. Failure to provide materials will result in refusal to admit player for training. Contact Team Coaches and Managers for Membership materials.

Consistent and correct use of cloth face coverings is recommended to reduce the spread of SARS-CoV-2.

What is added by this report?

Among 139 clients exposed to two symptomatic hair stylists with confirmed COVID-19 while both the stylists and the clients wore face masks, no symptomatic secondary cases were reported; among 67 clients tested for SARS-CoV-2, all test results were negative. Adherence to the community’s and company’s face-covering policy likely mitigated spread of SARS-CoV-2.

5 Pediatricians on the Safety of Shools and the Pandemic

The following article from NBC News dated July 12, 2020 reveals that youth (under the age of 10) rarely transmit Covid-19. The disease is primarily transmitted by adults. In addition, the article sites that that according to the CDC, "In the U.S., children make up about 22 percent of the population, but kids account for only 2 percent of coronavirus cases"
